Key Steps for GST Registration

Visit GST Portal:
● Go to the official GST portal at https://www.gst.gov.in/
Click on ‘Register Now’:
● Select ‘Services’ > ‘Registration’ > ‘New Registration.
Fill Basic Details
● Select ‘Taxpayer’ as the category.
● Enter State/UT, District, PAN, Email, and Mobile Number.
Enter OTP Verification
● Verify email and mobile number with OTPs received.
Receive Temporary Reference Number (TRN)
● Note the TRN sent to your mobile and email.
Re-login with TRN:
● Go back to the GST portal.
● Use TRN to log in and 
Complete the GST Application:
● Provide Business Information (like trade name, and constitution of business).
● Add Promoter/Partners details with ID proofs.
● Submit the Principal Place of Business and Additional Places of Business if any.
Upload Documents:
● Proof of business address (electricity bill, rent agreement).
● PAN, Identity proof, and Photograph of owners.
● Bank account details (canceled cheque or bank statement).

Submit Application with Digital Signature:
● Use DSC, E-Signature, or EVC for final submission.

Receive Application Reference Number (ARN):
● Once submitted, an ARN is generated. Use it to track the status.

Approval & GSTIN Issuance:
● Await verification; once approved, you’ll receive your GSTIN.
